Mike Vos’ Dead Cities – June 2019

A Perception of Color and a Notion of Time

In a rare photography show at Land, we’re welcoming Mike Vos and his Dead Cities Photos.

Show opens June 1, 2019 3-5p.

A Perception of Color and a Notion of Time is an exploration in human recognition of color, a project under the umbrella of Mike Vos’ Dead Cities photography series.

Mike Vos has color vision deficiency and recognizes color differently than his camera.

These images are an allusion to an individuals interpretation of the world, not just in subject matter but through different areas in the spectrum of visible light. This exhibition includes film photographs developed with a range of experimental techniques and processes that predict a world without humans.
