Roger’s works orbit a dark core of ecological collapse, eulogizing dead and dying species and the frayed webs that tie them together. They face the contemporary cataclysm with black humor and a bitter taste in the throat, aiming to defy false hopes and inspire an unflinching analysis and some grim chuckles.
Roger Peet is a Portland-based artist and printmaker who spends a lot of his time staring into the abyss of modern ecological disaster, while trying to prevent that disaster from staring too deeply into him.
